This book tells the story of Malala Yousafzai who is an activist who speaks out for the rights of women. Written in an easy to read format makes this book accessible to all readers. The pictures of Malala Yousafzai are fantastic and bring her history and culture to life. Young children will be inspired by her story as a modern- day leader, especially because she is (relatively) so young.

The library has several more in this series on brave women. These women set an example for young students, especially girls, that there is no limit on what they can do.
